After visiting the area numerous times in the 70s and early 80s for vacation purposes, Bill and Joyce Robinson decided it was time for a change. In 1984 they left their farming community in Iowa, moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, and purchased Econo Lift Boat Hoist. The business started in a small garage in Linn Creek, Missouri.

Eventually, Econo Lift outgrew the space and moved to its current location during the Memorial Day weekend of 1988. Their son Steve and daughter Diane joined the company in 1986. Currently, the company has grown to employ anywhere from 18-25 employees. Econo Lift has been a family-owned business (3rd generation) for 40 years now. We are one of the few companies at the Lake of the Ozarks that service our own products, so you know you can contact us any time you have a problem or issue. All of our repairs/servicemen are employed by Econo Lift.

We pride ourselves on protecting your investments and feel fortunate to be able to do that at the wonderful Lake of the Ozarks. Other tanks use reground/recycled plastic that weaken the integrity of the material. Econo Lift uses only the highest quality materials in its boat hoists. We use a totally enclosed polyethylene tank with 100% virgin plastic for more stability in open or high traffic water situations and durable, completely galvanized metal parts. That’s why the Econo Lift boat hoist is the most dependable, yet affordable boat hoist available today.
